Candace Cameron-Bure Just Showed Off Her Toned Legs And Abs In A New Workout Video

How Candace Cameron-Bure Stays Crazy Fit At 43
  • Actress and The View host Candace Cameron-Bure just showed off her toned abs and legs in a new workout Instagram video.
  • In the video, the 43-year-old does a side plank and clamshell leg lifts with resistance bands.
  • Candace works out with a personal trainer three to four times a week.

Even though you probably still think of actress Candace Cameron-Bure first and foremost as D.J. Tanner from Full House and now Fuller House, she spends her time off-screen showing fans how she stays fitter than ever at 43. The View host shared a video on Instagram yesterday of herself doing a side plank and clamshell leg lifts with resistance bands that highlights Candace's killer abs and legs.

"I really want @garyjac to do abs and glutes with me on this gorgeous Sunday afternoon. I dont think its gonna happen @kirastokesfit - More workout vids on my story and highlights!" she captioned the video.

Candace wasn't kidding about her collection of exercise videosshe's been working with her trainer, Kira Stokes, for over three years now. And, according to Candace, Kira works her out with a "unique combination of functional movements, resistance training, and cardiovascular conditioning, using free weights, body weight, gliders, and portable equipment like jump rope, resistance bands, BOSU, and weighted balls."

When she's in New York shooting The View, Candace sees Kira three or four days a week, and when they're on opposite coasts, they do Facetime workouts twice a week. Outside of her personal training sessions, Candace likes to squeeze in a workout wherever she can her son's hockey games and in her dressing room between takes.

As for Candace's diet, it's "fairly strict diet," according to a 2016 interview with Cosmopolitan . "My job depends on it," she told the publication, adding that she eats mostly vegan (but still likes egg whites or a piece of fish). For protein, she eats nuts, seeds, beans, and whole grains like quinoa.

When Candace is home in Los Angeles, her husband Val cooks for their family, but when she's alone in New York, she likes lentil soup from places like Juice Press and Whole Foods, and roasted veggie salads with healthy snacks like hummus and egg whites.
