It's been nine months and she still can't let go of him. Will this addiction ever end?
I am in a dilemma.
I fell in love with this girl (my first love) and I gave her all my heart. But the issue is that she is ADDICTED to her EX. She just can't get let him go. She opened up to me about it that each time she wants to completely end it, she feels like her heart is failing her and stuffs like that.
She said she loves me more and would love to spend the rest of her life with me which seems quite through as she doesn't see any future with her ex. Seriously, I don't know what to do. Should I wait? She was with him for two years and we are just 9 months now. Should I let go? She doesn't want me to. Do you think this addiction will end? She is 20 I am 24.
She has opened up to me well that she is even seeking help on how to end it with him totally but her heart is not helping. She was with him for 2 years and he was her first love. I am just confused.
Get out of that relationship. I think getting out is the logical, sensible thing to do. Nine whole months? And she still can’t make up her mind? Naaah. That’s way too long a time to be in a limbo.
If she wants to be with you, she has to be with you. And if she wants to be with him then she has to let you go. In the case that she is trying to hold on to the both of you, I think it now behooves on you to do the right thing – let go of that woman.
It may not be what you want to hear, and it may also not be the easiest thing to do, but I do not think you have much of an option than letting her go.
I presume that it is an exclusive relationship you want. And in such relationship, there’s really no room for exes and side guys and uncertainties. Nine months is too much for her to be confused. I don’t think it makes sense for you to just sit around and watch her traipse from you to him and back from him to you.
It’s either she makes up her mind, fixes her indecisiveness and stay with just you or just let you go.
Life is too short to hang around uncertainties.
