Couple wed 10 years after they 1st met

Brancazio, an administrator for the Welsh Ambulance Service, met Frangos, a parcel delivery driver, on a night out in Cardiff in 2005, when she jumped the queue to get into a club and ended up in front of him.

Nadia Brancazio, 33, and Simon Frangos, 39, finally tied the knot recently, which is exactly 10 years after they first met.

Brancazio, an administrator for the Welsh Ambulance Service, met Frangos, a parcel delivery driver, on a night out in Cardiff in 2005, when she jumped the queue to get into a club and ended up in front of him.

"Simon and his friend had been queuing to get into Lava Lounge. My friend and I jumped the queue and ended up in front of them," she said.

"We started chatting. I don't think they realised we had pushed in."

They went for a drink in The Yard bar for their first date, followed by a walk around the city centre then Simon drove Nadia home.

The couple who live together in Gabalfa with their children Luca, five, and Sofia, three, had their wedding ceremony at City Hall, Cardiff, on January 31, 2015. They had a meal in the Hilton afterwards followed by a party at Cardiff Golf Club.

Frangos proposed after returning from a guys-only holiday in Lanzarote in November 2013.

The ecstatic bride said: "It was the first time he had been away without me since we met. He proposed in the house the night he came back. He obviously missed me!"

He bought her an 'engagement gift' instead of a ring.

She said: "I'm not really a ring person. He got me a Pandora bracelet with an 'I love you' charm on it."

The couple had a small, intimate wedding with only 20 family and friends just days before their 10-year anniversary.

Brancazio said: "We met on February 12, 2005, so it was almost to the day."

She dressed in a beautiful full-length ivory dress which had a train. She bought her dress in Cancer Research Wales' Whitchurch branch which has a bridal suite.

"Simon lost both his parents to cancer and I couldn't justify spending thousands of pounds on a dress I would only wear once. This way we were able to support a charity that is very close to our hearts," she said.

After the wedding, she donated her dress back to Cancer Research Wales.

Their son, Luca was best man and their daughter, Sofia was Nadia's bridesmaid. According to the bride, the highlight of the day was the ceremony.

The newlyweds plan on going to Italy for a family holiday in the summer, which would also double as the honeymoon.
