The 2017 Toilet Paper Wedding Dress contest is coming to a close today, July 20, 2017 and the glamorous dresses vying for the prize are just too beautiful.

The Toilet Paper Wedding Dress is a world-famous competition of creativity in bridal fashion and is organised by budget wedding wensite, Cheap Chic Weddings and American toilet paper company, Quilted Northern.

The competition began on April 4 of this year and a winner will be decided today, July 20, 2017.

According to the organisers, "the dresses must use Quilted Northern Toilet Paper, tape or glue of any kind can be used, as well as any needle and thread or sewing machine and the dress must be worn by a human and able to take on and off."

The top 10 finalists will head to New York City on July 20 and compete in a runway event where they will be judged by a panel of experts using a point system - that looks at creativity, originality, beauty, the use of the toilet tissue and workmanship.

For the grand prize, one lucky winner will receive $10,000 while a second place finalist will get $5,000 and third $2500.
