Moss and Mena have worked together on various projects over the years before reuniting on his BET show, 106 and Park, last February, where they shared an on-camera kiss, which kick-started their relationship.

"We noticed we had a lot in common and just took it day by day. You know how it goes, you text one day, then start texting every day," Moss says of their modern-day romance.

"She's very smart, silly, knows how to hustle. And she's electrifying. Anytime you have all of that in a woman, what more could you want?"

Their relationship has faced a lot of criticism after it went public, because Mena had just got out of a relationship with her female Love & Hip Hop co-star, Cyn Santana.

As if that was not enough, in her controversial autobiography, Mena revealed that she'd had affairs with

women and a top industry man. This led to Twitter rumours that she had slept with 300 men.

However, love conquered all for the couple who are still going strong with their relationship and making plans to settle down together.

Mena has a son (named King), and Moss also has a 3-year-old daughter, Shia, from a previous relationship. "I wanted to be a better man than my father was," says Moss. "This relationship has definitely changed me as a person."

Speaking on his decision to get married, Moss says: "The player life is cool, but I don't want it to define me. I've done it all, but being on the road, the groupies, you get burnt out."

While on a break from filming CSI, Moss is focusing on wedding planning and whatever Mena wants.

"I let her spearhead the engagement pictures," Moss said in reference to their desert shoot in Apple Valley, California, on February 6, 2015. "They say it's best to just say 'yea' to everything!"
