Where do I really stand? Is she having any feeling towards me or could this be a case of chasing the air?
I met this new girl through another female friend.
When this friend of mine travelled, this new girl starting visiting me. Just like hanging around, we would discuss politics, music and movies.
We hang around for hours regularly, sometimes till after midnight before she leaves because she resides directly opposite me across the road.
I start having feelings but I tried to suppress them so as not to create unease between us. But with time, I could not bear it anymore, so I express my feelings to her.
She tells me outrightly that she has someone else and that would not even date a Christian due to past experiences she has. I try talking her into it but she remains firm with her words.
But whenever she wants to go and get some stuff, she still asks me to go with her and that is one of the reasons why I am sending this mail.
I want to know: where do I really stand? Is she having any feeling towards me or could this be a case of chasing the air? Thank you.
The one person who could accurately answer this question is that bae by herself, and from all indications given so far, I think she has already given her response when she outrightly said no to you.
I know people often say actions speak louder than words but according to you, “I try talking her into it but she remains firm with her words” which is as unequivocal as answers come.
I think you should not be carried away by the fact that she asks you to accompany her on nightly walks and all that. If someone keeps telling you that she is not interested in a relationship with you, I think that’s a pretty clear answer that she really is not interested.
On the other hand, there is a slim chance that she is just playing extremely hard to get.
Whatever the case, I advise that you should let the issue slide and withdraw a bit from her.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder; so if she really does has feelings for you but is trying to just play hard to get, withdrawal from her could actually bring her to you. The knowledge that she could actually lose you like that might make her soften her stance and reach out to you on the level you crave.
And even if she really means the ‘No’, moving away from her is still the wise move to make as it allows you break away from the one that you’ll never get and open your eyes to another great lady that will be all too willing to be yours.
I hope this helps.
