Sex is an act of cheating; the most apparent, most recognized of them all. Thats a no-brainer.

So there’s an automatic reaction of hurt, disappointment, anger and other surges of negative emotions when you hear that your partner has been sleeping with that girl at his office with the huge backside.

There’s an automatic bitterness, resentment and other strong emotions when you hear your girlfriend has been giving it hot hot to that guy she told you not to worry about.

But is sex the only thing there is to cheating? Heck, no!

1. Kissing

Well, if sex counts as cheating, so should kissing.

Why? Because na from clap dance dey start. A kiss on the cheek sounds and looks harmless enough until it somehow progresses over time to a gentle peck on the lips and so on and so forth till you find yourself giving or receiving head from someone that is not your partner.

Kissing another person, no matter how harmless, is cheating on your partner.

2. Sexting

Sexting is a merger of sex and texting. That sort of creates an impression of what it means, right?

If you are exchanging sexual messages with someone that is not your partner, it is cheating. Plain and simple.

Sending them sexual memes on Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp and sharing fantasies other imaginative sexual talk… all that amounts to doing wrong by your partner.

This is because most of the time, these things create a sexual tension and signifies a willingness to have sex with the person in question.

3. Phone sex

Phone sex moves away from texting sexual stuff to virtually doing it.

So if you are having phone sex with someone else, they are not physically touching your body, of course, but he is either huskily telling you all the sexual stuff he wants to do to you when he has the opportunity, or she’s moaning tenderly via video calls what she’d love to do with you when the opportunity arises.

Phone sex gets a lot more intense and graphic than that but you get the idea of something really salacious and inappropriate going on between two people, one or both of whose partners trust, to not do them dirty.

4. Creating emotional bonds

Whether intentionally or unintentionally done, there can be no excuse for this.

Your partner should be in the know of happenings in your life than another babe or another guy.

Sharing secrets, having long late night conversations, chatting all day, revealing almost all about your daily activities every single day… the end point of these things is usually the creation of an emotional bond that you really should snuff out because you already have someone in your life.

Encouraging this emotional bonds or actively pursuing its growth is pretty much the same as physically bonding with another person through sex.
