From UI with love: Bode & Oyinda's intimate ceremony

It wasn't love at first sight. Thankfully, the groom grabbed his second chance with both hands.

From University of Ibadan with Love...

The love-struck pair read their vows in the presence of family and closest friends at Brooks Park, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, and while their romance has now reached this significant point, it never looked like that at the beginning.

The bride shares their love story below:

“We met at university of Ibadan on the 16th of March 2012 in front of my department (Theatre Arts) on the night of my initiation for the first time.

“I had gone out to thank his friend for coming and because I had kept his friends waiting by engaging him in a conversation, one of them got annoyed and said 'shey na bcos of this one we dey wait since?'

“He also had the guts to say it to my face that I didn't make my hair and looked somehow. [Theatre Arts initiation required us to look like that during initiation.]

“I would never have guessed in that moment that he’d end up being my husband as I didn’t like him the first time we met because he was so rude and blunt.

“I was really pissed and kept him in mind.

“After few weeks, I was gisting with my friends in the hostel and they kept talking about a particular which happens to be him and every girl was claiming he is their boyfriend and all but I wasn't even interested.

“Few days later he saw me and he couldn't take his eyes off me.

“He later sent a friend to me and we decided to see and that was how we started dating even though I did shakara for few weeks and put him on suspense.

“We have been through rough times, and we can fight ehn but trust I wouldn't want another man apart from him o, and I got married to my best friend, daddy, and better half on the 19th of August 2017."

We're just so excited that the bride's love now surpasses the dislike she had at the beginning.
