An Indian bride-to-be Remya Ramachandran caused a buzz on social media after she announced to her friends via Facebook that her wedding had been cancelled.

Ramachandran's future in-laws had asked for the groom's dowry which she was totally against. The bride-to-be immediately called off her wedding because she believed that “buying such an unreliable man and his family is a loss.”

We conducted a poll, asking Pulse readers what they thought of the bride's decision via a poll.

Results from the poll revealed that 20% of Pulse readers think the bride acted rashly while 80% think the bride made the right decision, would have done the same in her place.
