Sandra Wokocha met her fiance, Nkem Obasi on January 3, 2011, which happened to be his birthday.
Obasi's cousin hooked up the two of them via BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), and at the time, she lived in Port Harcourt while he lived in Lagos.
They got talking and became friends. Months later, they met for the first time when he travelled to Port Harcourt for his sister's wedding.
According to Wokocha, the meeting was so awkward and there was no spark at all, and it was clear that they weren't really into each other at that time. However, they got talking and kept in touch thereafter.
The second time they met in Lagos, they decided to get serious and go beyond just friendship. It was like they were meeting for the first time.
They had a long distance relationship for a year and a half. Though it wasn't all rosy, but they pulled through. Thereafter, she moved to Lagos for her NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) and started to plan her life with him.
The marriage proposal took place on her birthday in October 2014, when he went to visit her in Port Harcourt to celebrate the day with her and friends.
After breakfast, he asked her to marry him while their friends took pictures of the golden moments and cheered happily.
