Most ladies dream of getting proposed to with a diamond ring  or some ring with a  nice precious stone. However, this wasn't the case for a couple who recently got engaged.

Lucas Unger and Carlee Leifkes made headlines recently after Unger, ditched the conventional diamond ring and proposed to his fiancée with a ring made from one of his wisdom teeth.

As expected, Leifkes fell in love with the unique ring instantly.

The happy pair met at a music festival in Vancouver early 2015 and it was romance from then on.

Unger who had moved to California to be with his then girlfriend, asked his father to mail him his childhood wisdom teeth which he had been keeping for a special moment, Inside Edition reports.

"Diamonds are so overrated". “My birthstone is a diamond. I don’t need one to prove how much someone loves me. He’d already moved all the way from Canada to do that!", Leifkes told Buzzfeed.

She later an upclose photo of the tooth ring on her Facebook page with the caption: “So incredibly excited to marry my best friend, the man who knows that his wisdom tooth means more to me than a diamond. Can't wait to be a weirdo with you and dance our way through life to Thee Oh Sees and Black Sabbath. We have never been the "traditional couple", why the heck start now?”
