My ex wants me back but refuses to meet my demand

I told him if he wants me back, he has to go and pay my dowry.

Dear Bukky,

I am a lady of 32. I dated a guy and we have a son together.

He was a loving and caring person. We lived together until his family started interfering into the relationship and telling him to marry a Yoruba girl.

I later found out that he was dating a girl who is Yoruba and I packed out of the house with my son and told him to go ahead and marry the lady since that’s what his family wants.

I also moved out to enable me start my life afresh. Now he is on my neck that I should come back.

People are calling me to come back to him. I told him I can't come because if he wants me back, he has to go and pay my dowry.

All he keeps telling me is that I should come so that we can settle. In fact I am confused on what to do.

Please advise me. Ojota, Lagos______________

I think you are doing just right. So far this is what your demand is, I agree that he has to meet it.

All that’s left now is for you to stand your ground and ensure that you do it this time around on your own terms.

Don’t surrender to his demands, no matter who he sends to beg or appease you.

Let him do right by you, you deserve that much following how he treated you the previous time.

He has a son with you and he wants you back. There should be nothing stopping him from doing the right thing by performing the required marriage rites.

If he can’t push himself to do this, he probably does not want you that much.

Make him work for it this time. He had a free shot before and blew it.________________
