Don't Get It Twisted, Engagement Is Not Entrapment

Think about this before you make the commitment of getting engaged and taking your relationship to the next level.

So your relationship has probably been going on steady for a couple of months or years now, and you feel it's time to make the next move and pop the question.

But wait a minute, why do you want to do that? Are you indeed ready to get married or are you merely trying to "secure your asset"?

Before you rush off and buy that diamond ring, read this straightforward advice about getting engaged:

Don't engage her because she's growing so beautiful by the day and you've noticed dozens of eyes filled with desire, that follow her anytime you're walking with her.

So you fumble in your pocket and fish out a shiny round metal and slip it on to her finger.

Then you breathe a smile of relief, pat your bum and go about your normal business as you please.

You've tied her down now, she ain't going anywhere. She'd still be here, come rain, come shine.

Engage her because you both are ready and not because you're running out of time.

Not because her curves are getting fuller by the day, not because you want to keep the eyes that follow her away and have her all to yourself, but because you're ready to take the next big step.

You don't dust your bum and go to sleep after you've slipped a ring on to her finger.

A darn shiny metal does not keep a lady, not even the sacred vows of marriage ties a lady to you when you constantly break the rules - your actions and commitment does.

ENGAGEMENT is not ENTRAPMENT. Don't get it twisted!
