An inmate recently had his dream nuptials, all thanks to prison traditions in Saudi Arabia which allows for free wedding ceremonies to be organised for convicts.

The Buraydah prison in the capital of Al Qasem Region, north central Saudi Arabia, keeps up with this tradition, providing food and drinks for families and friends of the prisoner and his bride.

They also provide items for elaborate decoration of the wedding reception area.

The inmate's wedding which was celebrated by the Saudi General Directorate of Investigation, arranged separate halls for men and women, as well as the dinner and decorations, Arabia Weddings reports.

The prison officials also ensured the inmate had a special room for him and his bride to spend the night in after their wedding.

This isn't the first wedding held for a convict, however, the law was implemented as a result of directions from Saudi Arabia's Minister of Interior who said that all detainees should be properly taken care of.
