An Anglican church in Ikeja area of Lagos, may have had enough of seeing couples dress inappropriately for weddings and decided to rectify the issue by producing a guiding pamphlet for engaged couples intending to tie the knot.
The Archbishop Vining Memorial Church pamphlet contained dress codes for couples and their bridal trains.
The dress codes included no dreadlocks, no earring or funny looking necklaces for grooms. Brides were instructed to wear well covered gowns, sleeveless wedding dresses were banned, bridesmaids and groomsmen were advised to stop holding hands during procession, bridesmaids were instructed to wear head scarves or they won't be granted access into the church.
