Fake weddings held for engaged couples for less than N6,000 (PHOTOS)

From the venue to flowers or even cake, engaged couples can now test-run how their real wedding will be like by simply having a fake one

This may look like a wedding, but the bride and groom are actually renewing their vows - and the guests are engaged couples attending what has become known as The Big Fake Wedding

Imagine being the main attraction as the bride and groom in an already organised wedding ceremony for a little amount of money.

From the venue to flowers or even cake, engaged couples can now test-run how their real wedding will be like by simply having a fake one - thanks to The Big Fake Wedding.

The Big Fake Wedding was started by a wedding photographer Callie Murray in 2008 who saw it as a fun way for engaged couples to plan their weddings by actually going to one.

The tickets to the event goes for as low as $25 (less than N6,000) per guest and gives couples ability to check out over 30 local vendors in action during a night that features everything from the ceremony and cocktail hour to the dinner and late-night dance party reception.

Though the wedding is fake - the engaged couples picked to walk the aisle are very real.

According to the Marketing director of The Big Fake Wedding,  LaBruce Trammell, the company has just three goals.

'Inspire brides and grooms to do something different, support small businesses, and encourage a solid and committed marriage,' she said.
