Wedding planning is really hectic, this is probably why people have long engagements so they have loads of time to plan properly.

However, Hiliaria Balwin, wife to actor, Alec Baldwin, and Yoga instructor, managed to plan her wedding in just three months and still looked amazing, the lovely lady shares on how she managed the stress that accompanies wedding planning below.

On PlanningWhen it came to planning her wedding, Baldwin credits her lack of expectations and a talented group of girlfriends for helping her pull it off. "My personality is that I don't want to get stressed out about things. Of course things will come up in life where you can't help it, but I was prepared to have a wedding at City Hall." In fact, Baldwin was such a low-key bride that she nearly forgot to book a DJ. "It was basically like Weddings for Dummies," she jokes. The only part of her wedding Baldwin truly took seriously was the sentiment behind it. "For me, the heart of my wedding was celebrating the love that I have with my husband and having my family come."

On DietDuring her engagement, Baldwin revealed that she followed a vegan diet — though she notes that there's a variety of effective approaches to healthy eating. What all good diets have in common, Baldwin explains, is "lots of whole grains, lots of dark leafy vegetables and protein — whether you are doing that with beans, tofu and tempeh, or you're doing it with fish and eggs, or you're doing it with bacon and chicken!" Baldwin took a similarly clean approach when it came to beverages, drinking lots of green juices and avoiding both alcohol and caffeine. "I didn't drink any alcohol before the wedding for probably like six weeks," Baldwin explains, "I just wanted to feel good and light and awake everyday." "Go very slow when they're giving you the champagne right before you're walking down the aisle, because it will hit you hard!"

On Fitness"I worked out everyday before my wedding — including the day of my wedding, which really got me into the right mindset," says Baldwin, who champions an integrative approach to fitness that includes cardio, strength training and yoga. "I did SoulCycle and Physique 57, which I think is such a fantastic workout — and gives you like the best butt ever!"

On Yoga"Yoga has taught me a lot about perspective," Baldwin says. "Everything is a practice, we call it a yoga practice, we don't call it a yoga perfection." She continues, "[At] the end of the day, you're just going in and you're playing. And that's the same thing that you're doing with planning your wedding and walking down the street. Everything is just a play and you should do it with a lighthearted sense, and you should do it with a lot of joy."

While it might not all be applicable to the Nigerian bride, the key things are.

They include eating healthy, avoiding alcohol, working out a lot in order to look your best, taking the wedding more seriously than the actually planning because that's all that matters, remembering to actually enjoy and live in the moment instead of striving for perfection, and simply enjoying yourself.
