Top wedding planner clocks 40, shares stunning photos

One of Nigeria's most celebrated wedding/event planners releases a series of stunning photos, taken by TY Bello, on her Instagram on Sunday, July 27 to mark her 40th anniversary in a grand style.

Funke Buckno-Obruthe turns 40

"Can't believe I am 40.....I am a product of grace and mercy...." she captioned one of her pictures on Instagram.

Respected as a master planner and designer, Funke is one of the country's pioneer event planners who has earned a place amongst Nigeria's industry leaders and innovators.  Mrs. Bucknor-Obruthe’s passion for planning comes through in everything she does.

Besides organizing some of the biggest events in the country, Bucknor is also the founder of Zapphaire Events, a management and consulting company born for event planning. She's also the host of 'Funke Says', an online show which highlights weddings tips and planning.

In 2006, the lawyer-turned-entrepreneur was branded "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Nigeria’s most prestigious youth awards platform, The Future Awards. She has also been named "Wedding Planner of the Year" by the Wedding Planner Magazine, and in 2011 she was featured on CNN International’s 'Inside Africa' for her extraordinary work planning a Nigerian Royal wedding.

She has spent more than a decade in the industry.

Happy birthday, Funke! 40 has never looked so 20!
