Why rich and famous actresses find it hard to date
Jennifer Lawrence and Emilia Clarkes are two of Hollywood's most beautiful women but is finding love proving difficult despite their high profiles?
In Africa, Nigeria as case study, it's almost impossible to see a woman as beautiful, successful and young as JLaw and Emilia who is still single but the truth is they exist. It's a common knowledge that some men have issues taking actresses seriously.
"Some men think we [actresses] are useless, brainless and perhaps sleep around to get roles,"Meg Otanwa tells Pulse TV. Adding, "So, it's fair to say some stars don't get as many date nights as a regular babe just because she is a 'star'".
Well, 'Hunger Games' star, Lawrence admitted last year that she finds it difficult dating men.
"No one ever asks me out. I am lonely every Saturday night. Guys are so mean to me," the 25-year-old opened up to Vogue magazine about being single. "I know where it’s coming from, I know they’re trying to establish dominance, but it hurts my feelings. I’m just a girl who wants you to be nice to me. I am straight as an arrow," she continued.
In the latest issues of Harper's Bazaar Magazine, Emilia who plays the headstrong, Daenerys Targaryen in the hit show 'Game of Thrones,' confessed she has to prove herself around men all the time.
"I’ve got a really strong mum. I was brought up thinking that men and women are equal. It’s only as I’ve got older that I’ve been like: 'Mum! What the f**k? Why are they treating me differently because I’ve got a pair of tits?'"
While she is certainly a strong woman with a legion of diehard admirers, Emilia admitted she struggles to capture male attention too. She said: "I don’t get hit on a lot. Last year I could have been wearing a sandwich board and ringing a bell and nobody would have noticed!"
Emilia and Jennifer are both single and may only be voicing out some of the frustrations of top actresses. So, pulse.ng fans, do you think they are saying the truth?
