This Nigerian couple's engagement involves a wonderful proposal which involves a luxurious 2016 Range Rover Evoque, and an ingenious way of popping the question.

The unnamed boyfriend proposed on Sunday, April 8 2018 at an outlet of The Grill, a food joint famed for its steak.

Choosing to get creative with the proposal, the boyfriend asks with a customised menu card, on which the following words were written:

"Benita, will you marry me?"

Another intriguing aspect of the proposal is the luxurious ride the loverboy gave to his babe to mark the ocassion.

A collage of screenshots shared by Instablog 9ja on Instagram shows a white Range Rover Evoque 2016 model and an excited woman in black leaning backwards onto it, arms outstretched blissfully.

A Range Rover Evoque 2016 would cost anything between ₦11.3M and ₦16.05M [$31,578 - $44,539] according to car website, Kelley Blue Book.

Proposing with big gifts

Another Nigerian man's proposal caught the Internet's attention only a week prior to the time of this article. He had reportedly given his girlfriend a cheque of ₦2million alongside a wedding ring worth ₦5million.

It turned out that details of the proposal was misunderstood.

With a Facebook post  on his wall, the boyfriend, a man named Salt Nate says he indeed gave his bae the cheque but merely a dummy to symbolise how inestimable he thinks his girl is.
