Armed robbers attack newlyweds, bridal train

A group of armed robbers recently attacked a couple and bridal train on their way to the reception.

Recently, a new couple narrowly escaped being killed on their way to their reception at Mgbuishii, Ohaji/Egbema local government area of Imo State.

Vanguard reports that the newlyweds had just finished their church wedding at Chimezie Catholic Parish, Mgbuishii, and were on their back to Owerri for the reception, when they got attacked by masked men.

According to an anonymous eyewitness, the newlyweds escaped but the bridal train did not.

“The hoodlums first attacked the vehicle conveying the bride and groom. Although the bullets hit the video camera man and the photographer, the driver of the vehicle sped off. The hoodlums robbed the friends and relations of the couple of cash and other personal valuables, including telephone handsets.”

This unfortunate incident led to the death of the video camera man while others, including the photographer, were badly wounded others.
