The list is annually compiled by the broadcasting corporation and includes women whose efforts over the course of the year have been splendid and deserving of accolades.
So, according to BBC, Funke makes the 2016 list for her well-known expertise in "[planning] every detail for glitzy and celebrity weddings in Nigeria and elsewhere, ranging from 500 to 2000 people."
Expectedly, the CEO and author, 40, is thrilled at the inclusion and frankly, there aren't many people who would'nt be.
When contacted by Pulse Weddings, and asked to describe how she feels at this recognition, she says, “I [am] so excited and I [am] also humbled.
"To be featured and recognised lets me know that I [am] doing something right despite doubting myself so many times.
“It encourage[s] me to keep going and not give up and continue working hard and smart and to keep encouraging and supporting people.”
Alongside Funke, other women who made the list include American singer Alicia Keys and Ellinah Ntombi Wamukoya, a Swazi, who is the first woman to be elected Bishop in the Anglican Church of Southern Africa.
From Pulse Weddings, we extend a hearty congratulations to Mrs. Obruthe.
