Dirty John's second season, officially titled Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story, is focusing on the case of Betty Broderick, the woman accused and later convicted of killing her ex-husband Daniel Broderick and his second wife Linda as they slept on November 5, 1989. Where Is Betty Broderick From 'Dirty John' Today?

Broderick's first trial for the double murder ended in a hung jury and a mistrial was declared, and her second trial in 1991 resulted in Broderick's guilty verdict for two counts of second-degree murder. But while we know many of the details about the case and Broderick's trial, there has been less focus on where the mother of four is todayhere's what we know.

Betty Broderick is currently serving out her sentence of 32 years to life in prison at the California Institution for Women, in Chino, California. She is now 72 years old.

Over the years, Broderick has appeared on various TV specials and magazines about her case, including 20/20 and The Oprah Winfrey Show. Broderick has always maintained that her ex-husband was controlling (which his family disputes ), and she said she was left to feel " helpless " during their marriage. She also claimed that she never planned to kill Dan and Linda when she went to her house on that November morning.

In 2010, Broderick's first request for parole was denied because "she was totally not remorseful, didn't even try," as San Diego prosecutor Richard Sachs explained. Broderick reportedly failed to take responsibility for her actions, and she simply told the parole board that "the gun went off" as she entered the home and confronted Daniel and Linda.

Broderick was again denied parole in November 2011 and January 2017 . She will not be eligible again until January 2032, when she'll be 84 years old.
