Taking her out? You might want to leave your phone at home

Long gone are the dinner-and-a-movie days: Dating just isn’t that simple anymore, and single people are feeling the pressure. The way we view sex and relationships are changing by the second due to technology’s ever growing social presence.

In fact, after Match.com surveyed more than 5,500 single men and women for their annual Singles In America study, they found that 22 percent of millennials think technology has made it more difficult to find love. Can you blame them? Nowadays, your social media profile speaks for itself, whether you want it to or not.

But don’t throw out everything you’ve learned about women just yet. There are obviously things you should never say on a first date and never ask after sex, but today’s singles seem to be even pickier. Taking her out on the town? Keep your phone at home: 75 percent of singles admit that answering your phone on a first date is a major turn off and 86 percent of women say they’re more likely to negatively judge you for having a cracked phone screen (so get the damn thing fixed already).

Post-date etiquette has also taken a major turn. Remember when sex on the first date was taboo? Forget about it, because 48 percent of millennials are more likely to sleep with someone right away to see if the spark is there.
