9-1-1 premiered just last year, and the Fox procedural drama has both shocked and delighted fans with its intriguing storylines . That's why it's no surprise that the team behind 9-1-1 is gearing up for a new spinoff that will take the show you know and love to a whole new state.
What is 9-1-1: Lone Star about?
Lone Star will follow a "New York firefighter that relocates to Austin, Texas with his son, where he works to save people's lives while trying to solve his own personal problems."
When will 9-1-1: Lone Star premiere?
9-1-1: Lone Star will premiere on Sunday, January 19, following the NFC Championship Game. Another episode will air on January 20, and it'll retain that Monday slot for the rest of its season.
Who will star in 9-1-1: Lone Star?
Rob Lowe and Liv Tyler will be the leads for Lone Star , and they'll be joined by Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva, Julian Works, Jim Parrack, Sierra McClain and Ronen Rubinstein.
Lowe will play the aforementioned firefighter, while Tyler will play Michelle Blake , a chief paramedic who wants to find out what happened to her little sister that disappeared two years ago.
It's unclear if any of the 9-1-1 cast, which includes Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, and Jennifer Love Hewitt, will appear on the new series, as their version of the show takes place in Los Angeles.
