This sheriff’s warning to heroin dealers is frankly terrifying

It’s no secret that the U.S. is in the middle of a heroin epidemic, and one sheriff in Florida isn’t having it.

Lake County Sheriff gives stern warning to heroin dealers.

In a new video posted on the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Sheriff Peyton Grinnell warns heroin dealers that he and his team are “coming for you.” Grinnell explains in the video that he’s had “a number of calls” from “concerned citizens” about the number of overdoses in his county related to heroin. “I want our citizens to know that I am aware of this serious issue,” he says, before telling people where they can leave an anonymous tip about drug dealers.

Then, he addresses the dealers directly. “Our undercover agents have already bought heroin from many of you,” he says. “We are simply awaiting the arrest warrants to be finalized.”

And then, he gets seriously intense. Grinnell says dealers should “enjoy looking over your shoulder, constantly wondering if today’s the day we come for you. Enjoy trying to sleep tonight, wondering if tonight’s the night our SWAT team blows your front door off the hinges.”

He ended on this note: “We are coming for you. Run.”

It’s not just what Grinnell says—it’s how he does it. In the video, the sheriff is flanked by four men wearing ski masks, reflective shades, and bullet-proof vests. Some commenters pointed out that the video is eerily reflective of ISIS videos. “I fully expected them to behead a drug dealer at the end of this video,” one person wrote. “ISIS has made their way to Lake County, Florida?” another said. (Grinnell told the Miami New Times that the men in the video were undercover agents who need to protect their identities.)

Yup, good luck trying to sleep tonight, heroin dealers of Lake County.
