Ben Affleck shows off his muscular upper body

On Monday, Affleck stepped out for a cup of coffee in Los Angeles, where he was photographed looking incredibly buff. The actor's tight t-shirt showed off his muscular upper body:

And now, just six weeks later, Affleck is looking  than ever.

According to an anonymous source who spoke to People, his physique may be proof at just how seriously Affleck is taking his newfound health.

“He is doing much better but needs to continue receiving care,” the unidentified source said. “As difficult as it was to have his recent trip to rehab all play out so publicly, it now seems the way it happened was for the best.”

Affleck himself has been extremely open about his struggles with addiction. In 2017, he on Facebook that he had completed his second round of treatment for alcohol addiction.

“I've dealt with in the past and will continue to confront,” he wrote, adding, “I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step.

I'm lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I've done the work I set out to do. This was the first of many steps being taken towards a positive recovery.”

As for his current rehab program, Affleck is working hard to get better, according to brother Casey Affleck.

"Alcoholism has a huge impact on not just the person, but also their family," he told Entertainment Tonight. "I think for his kids' sake and for their mom, and for himself, he's trying to do the work and get it together."
