Former House Star Jennifer Morrison Directed Latest Euphoria Episode

Euphoria is one of the hottest shows on TV this season, and the latest episode, titled "'03 Bonnie and Clyde" continued that fashion, continuing to push the show's plot forward, while developing its strong character's out and doing so in a stunningly stylish fashion. The latest episode comes from an unlikely director-one with a bit of experience in acclaimed television herself: Jennifer Morrison, best known as Dr. Allison Cameron alongside Hugh Laurie on the medical drama House.

Morrison's House role is her best known, but the actress also played major roles on a few other TV series as well, including Once Upon A Time... and How I Met Your Mother.

It's not Morrison's directing debut-in 2015, she directed a short film called Warning Labels (starring Avengers/Guardians of the Galaxy star Karen Gillan), and in 2017 she directed her first feature, a movie called Sun Down, which she appeared in alongside Supergirl and Whiplash star Melissa Benoist, Modern Family's Ed O'Neill, and Academy Award-winner Alison Janney. The Euphoria episode marks Morrison's television directing debut, however.

The episode was obviously one that called for a female touch behind the camera-given that it centered on the character of Maddy, and the seemingly-inescapable abusive relationship that she finds herself in with the violent Nate. Morrison handled the scenes with a soft touch that made you feel for the character and understand the types of emotional and psychological mindsets that go into these cycles of abuse, while maintaining the overarching voice and style that Euphoria has established through five episodes to this point.
