We guarantee your worst first date wasn’t anywhere near as bad as this one

Elliot remains at large, while his jilted paramour is left wondering what the hell went wrong.

We guarantee your worst first date wasn’t anywhere near as bad as this one

Unless you witnessed a murder, this Alabama woman has you beat

The majority of first dates are dreadful: Your dumb jokes backfire, the filet comes overcooked, and your eyes start to hurt from so much awkward staring.

But there are bad first dates, and then there are epically bad first dates.

Over the weekend in Alabama, two budding lovebirds were out on the town when they were pulled over by a Jefferson County police officer, according to a report by AL.com.

The driver, 22-year-old Jesse Allen Elliot, provided a fake name to the officer. It was surely an unexpected wrinkle to the couple’s first date—until Elliot really turned on the crazy by pushing his female companion out of the car, then speeding off.

Luckily, the woman wasn’t hurt, according to the report. While one cop pursued Elliot in a car chase, another tended to the unnamed woman.

“She told deputies that she had just met the suspect and, in fact had been on a blind date with him when they were stopped,” Jefferson County Chief Deputy Randy Christian told AL.com.

Christian, the real star of this story who for all we know moonlights as Jefferson County’s premier stand-up comic, summed up the failed date best: “I think these two are off to a bad start,” he told AL.com.

You’d never throw your partner from your car. But we bet you’re guilty of making some less obvious first-date moves that could blow your shot at a second.
