"We got a script, or parts of the script and it was a very odd version of the script," said Hemsworth. "You could go and sit in a room and read the script but to be honest, it wasn't even completed. The second half of shooting that movie was completely in their hands and being guided by what they had in store for you."
Chris Hemsworth Says the Script for ‘Endgame’ Was Never Fully Finished
Earth's mightiest heroes might have reached the end of their story in this year's epic finale Avengers: Endgame , but the actors who played them still have plenty of stories to tell as Chris Hemsworth proved this weekend. Speaking on stage at ACE Comic Con, the Thor actor revealed that neither he nor any of his co-stars ever saw a complete script for the entire time they were filming Endgame.
Chris Hemsworth Never Had a Full 'Endgame' Script
It's not unheard of for certain actors within the franchise to only be given relevant sections of a script so as to mitigate the risk of them accidentally leaking spoilers; Tom Holland , Mark Ruffalo and Paul Bettany are especially bad at keeping secrets, with Ruffalo revealing earlier this year that he even filmed two alternate endings for the Hulk and didn't know what would happen to his character until he was sat in the theater with everyone else. However, this is the first time it's been confirmed that the entire cast were kept in the dark with regards to certain plot elements of the sprawling, twist-filled final chapter while shooting Infinity War and Endgame back to back.
At the same con, Hemsworth also spoke about how much he misses his Avengers co-stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans , to the point that he even came up with a dream project for them all to reunite and work on together.
"That's was so sad about kind of finishing Endgame, it was just, were we ever going to get to hang out again?" He said. "And I immediately started thinking, what else could we do? We could remake Three Amigos or something!"
