The Mandalorian ( Pedro Pascal ) lands on Tatooine after a space battle in the episode's opening scene leaves his ship in need of repairs; as Tatooine's best (or maybe just nearest) mechanical expert, Peli and her three droids (who Mando wants nothing to do with) come to his service; she eventually plays significantly into the episode's overall plot, and gets a few moments with the person of the moment, Baby Yoda himself.
While Sedaris has had her own series, and appeared in shows like Comedy Central's Strangers With Candy, along with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Broad City, she might be best known these days for her voiceover work as Princess Carolyn in Netflix's hit adult animation series Bojack Horseman , where she voices the agent to the titular depressed horse actor character (her character also happens to be a kitty).
The role in Episode 6 also finds Sedaris re-teaming with Favreau he directed her very funny and very memorable role in his modern holiday classic, Elf. As you might remember, she played Deb, the loyal receptionist/assistant to James Caan's book publisher character, Walter Hobbs.
With three episodes of The Mandalorian remaining, it's worth wondering how many comedy cameos might be remaining, and from where they might come. While Favreau has become a blockbuster hollywood filmmaker in his own right (directing the likes of Iron Man and The Jungle Book) it's also worth remembering that he really did get his jump start in comedy. He really first came to prominence alongside Vince Vaughn in Swingers, and many people also saw him for one of the first times as Monica's very rich boyfriend, Pete, in Friends.
Could we get Vince Vaughn and Courteney Cox cameos before the season is out? Honestly, probably notbut the show's already been renewed for Season 2 , so let's not rule anything out just yet.
