1. Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove: Located in the the sacred forests that line the river Osun, is the shrine of the river goddess Osun.

It was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. The river, which runs near the shrine is believed to have special powers that aid fertility.

2. The Ancient City of Ife: This city is held in high esteem by the Yoruba people as their place of origin. One of the legends in Yoruba land is that creation of the whole world started from ife. It is a must visit location i you are interested in Yoruba culture and history.

3. The Palace of the Ooni: The Palace of The traditional ruler of Ile Ife and one of the most senior traditional rulers in Nigeria, is home to many relics of the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba race. It a historical monument funded by the state government. The Ooni himself is believed to be a direct descendant of the ancestor of Yorubas, Oduduwa.

4. The Staff of Oranmiyan: It is believed to be the staff of Oranmiyan, the grandson of Oduduwa, who used to take it to war. The staff made of granite obelisk with iron stud stands within the Oranmiyan shrine manned by Chief Eredumi as chief priest who is believed to be the link between the dead and the living.

5. Erin-Ijesha Waterfalls: If all you are looking for is a splash with nature, then this is the place. Also known as Olumirin, it is a seven-level waterfall. That is, seve waterfalls on top of each other. Its like seven gigantic stairs with water gushing from upstairs, and plenty of greens everywhere of course.
