Virgin Group boss, Richard Branson gave new meaning to the term "wake-up call" after he walked in on one of his employees sleeping at the Virgin Australiaoffice in Sydney.

Branson who chronicled the hilarious encounter on his blog said he "popped into the office and airport to say hello and check in to see what the team are up to" when he caught the man sleeping on the job.

“This guy isn’t up to much at all - I caught him sleeping on the job! Wow, did he get a shock when I woke him up. He must have thought he was dreaming because he went straight back to sleep.”
He was however quick to point out that the employee, a cabin crew member, was simply enjoying some “much needed rest” while he was on standby.
Meanwhile, Virgin Australia acknowledge the funny encounter tweeting that it was "the best wake up call in the crew rest area that we've seen. Great work! :)"
Branson who admitted that he likes to "meet the people that make our brand shine" said the Aussie team members permanently wore infectious smiles.
