MUSON Centre goes to Ibadan

Foremost musical/arts training and performing institution, Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) has opened its doors in Ibadan.

IMUSON will be manned by a 5-man governing board including Afolabi Oke who will serve as chairman, Mouzayian Khalil-Babatunde as vice chairman and Oladapo Omideyi will serve as the Chief Executive Officer.

Also on the board will be Olajide Babatunde as Chief Strategy Officer and Femi Oyekola as Legal Adviser/ Secretary.

IMUSON will have an inaugural performance on the 2nd of December which will feature Gbenga Adeyinka and the Suga band.

There will also be a 150-man children mass choir and a 100-man dance performance.

In a statement, IMUSON said it was a non-government and not-for-profit performing arts organisation established to be a lead player in Nigeria’s art, culture and entertainment sector.

The group further revealed that they're managed by a crack team of knowledgeable, innovative and ambitious professionals with a burning passion for making bold statement through the arts.
