Pulse Food was a recent guest of the #TasteofMexico festival where we had a chance to explore the rich menu.
Kicking off the 3-course meal was the Mexican Corn Prawn Salad stater which was a mix of shrimps in a rich salad of lettuce, avocados, black beans, jalapenos, roasted corn and more.
Popular Mexican street food, tacos ushered us straight into the next course of the meal, with the vegetarian and chicken tinga variations, alongside pan roasted shrimp with tequila and vegetarian and chicken burrito.
While the tacos with its interesting mix of queso, avocado, sour creams, shredded chicken (in the case of the chicken tinga) may be a little too tangy for the average Nigerian palate, the pan roasted shrimp with tequila, served alongside Mexican rice was a pleasant discovery.
Closing off the meal was the sizzling brownie served on a hot, sizzling skillet, and if you like your dessert hot and chocolatey, then the sizzling brownie should be hot on your must-try list.
