This is even more the case with movie studio theme parks as they offer movie buffs a chance to experience their favourite movies.

Here are 10 theme parks we can't wait to open for business.

1. The Hunger Games experiences: Slated for opening in Dubai in late 2016, we can hardly wait to "have the odds in our favour". Lionsgate also announced there will be parks in Macau, China in 2018 and another in Atlanta, Georgia in 2019.

2. Twentieth Century Fox World: With movies like "Titanic" and "Aliens", and television shows like "The Simpsons" expected to be made into rides, we expect non-stop fun when this park opens in Dubai come 2016.

3. Twentieth Century Fox World, Malaysia: This will feature about 25 rides based on shows including "Rio", "Planet of the Apes" and "Night at the Museum".

4. Pandora World of Avatar: You guessed right, this ride will be based on the hit movie, "Avatar". It will be stationed at Disney's Animal Kingdom, Florida, which is expected to open in 2017.

5. Star Wars Parks: Described as Disney's "largest, single-themed land expansion ever", the upcoming "Star Wars" parks will be found in Florida and California.
