How to make a gin and tonic
Gin and tonic remains one of the most popular cocktails on bar and restaurant menu's till date.
The history of this drink goes back as far as the 1600s. It all began with the origin of gin. According to some researchers, British soldiers found gin during the Dutch War of Independence.
The gin and tonic mix started in India in the 19th century. While the British were here, they battled with malaria. In order to make the quinine medicine more pleasant to drink, they added gin, sugar, lime, and water.

What you need:
- 1.5 oz gin
- Tonic water
- Lemon wedge
- Lime wedge
- Pour gin into a tall glass
- Top up with fresh ice.
- Fill with tonic water.
- Squeeze the lemon and lime wedges into the drink.
- Drop into the glass and stir.
