Miss Chidera Nneoma Okolie, The 22 year old author in an interview with Pulse Tv explains that the inspiration for writing her debut Novel "When Silence Becomes Too Loud" a Crime and Suspense book came from the quest to read exactly that.

Chidera said : "There are certain kinds of novels I prefer reading. The problem is, I rarely find them. It could be heartbreaking at times. So what do I do? I write them. I write exactly the story I want to read.

She added that she read a lot of James Hardley Chase while growing up and that influenced her love for books of the crime and mystery genre.

When asked to describe her book she gushed and said: "The book is basically about when you put over confidence before anything you are about to do. The suspense and use of words is just out of this world. It’s not some book you read because you are bored. I made sure anyone who picks the book will not drop it till the last page is read. Again, Crime suspense is not widely written here in Nigeria. So it’s safe to say it is new and exciting.

"I wrote the book when the university was on strike and it was released December 2014. It took me 7 months to write, editing and proof reading took a year. Took me about 2 years to publish this book."

Chidera went further to say that "When Silence Becomes Too Loud" was endorsed by President Goodluck Jonathan.

"I would be doing a movie adaptation of the book, Genieve Nnaji, Majid Michael, Richard Mofe Damijo, Clarion Shukura would be featured in it hopefully" She added
