Recommended articles
In a poll to decide what breakfast meal/cereal our users would rather have, Oatmeal took the crown. But since we're kind enough, we'll give a breakdown of each of the meals.
Pap/Akamu
Akamu (Igbo), Ogi (Yoruba) or Pap is processed from dry white or yellow corn. After processing from scratch, the raw akamu/pap/ogi is then prepared with hot water before serving as a meal.
Cornflakes
Cornflakes is a popular cereal all over the world. It is a breakfast cereal made by toasting flakes of corn and eaten usually with milk and sugar.
Custard
Custard is informally referred to as "Akamu that studied abroad" because of their similarities. However, its processing differs greatly from pap as it is based on milk or cream cooked with egg yolk to thicken, and sometimes with flour, corn starch, or gelatin. However, its preparation is the same with pap. Check out how to prepare the perfect akamu.
Oatmeal
Oatmeal is one of the foods that help relieve anxiety and stress. It is a very healthy meal made out of hulled oat grains.
