As much as watching what you eat is concerned when it comes to watching your weight, watching what you drink is equally as important.

First, let's get this straight. There's absolutely no drink that will magically help you lose weight.

Here's how it works, switching to calorie-free drinks as against the calorie-rich drinks that you'd usually consume will definitely help cut off the extra kilos.

Even if you don't these calorie-rich drinks much throughout the day, increasing your (calorie-free) fluid intake will also typically help you feel fuller. That way, you'll consume less of anything that can increase your body calorie.

As much as water is the best calorie-free fluid to constantly consume to cut down on the extra kilos, it can get boring. So, here are some suggested calorie-free drinks you can take to help with the weight loss goal.

1. Vegetable juice

Vegetable juice is a drink made primarily of blended vegetables. Vegetable juices are the healthiest choices as they transform nutrients quickly than eating them whole. Lemon juice, honey or fruits may be added to the juice to give it some flavour.

Drinking a glass of vegetable juice before your meals may cause you to eat 135 fewer calories according to a study done at Penn. state university.

The caffeine in coffee suppresses your appetite & increases your metabolism and it also gives you more energy during your fat burning workouts making you last longer and work harder helping you lose weight faster.

However, drinking more than 1-2 cups a day isn't advisable.

3. Yogurt based smoothie

The thickness of the yogurt is enough to make you full, drastically reduce your appetite and since yogurt is loaded with calcium, the calcium content will help you burn fat while limiting the amount of fat your body can make.

4. Fat-free milk

Milk, like yogurt, also contains calcium and calcium suppress calcitriol which is a hormone that basically makes you fatter. With this hormone out of the way, your body can break down fat much faster.

Calcium also suppresses your appetite preventing you from gaining weight and only allowing you to lose more weight as you eat less.

5. Water

Water is nature's gift to us and no matter what, we just can't ignore its place in our daily diet plan.

Water provides everything your body needs.  It can help you restore fluids that might have been lost through your metabolism, sweating, breathing and the removal of waste.

You can add a few fruits like sliced citrus fruits, crushed fresh mint, fresh ginger (sliced or peeled), sliced cucumber or crushed berries for flavours.
