Osinbajo, Dangote, others attend event
Many dignitaries were present in Benin, Edo State today, October 20, 2016 as the 39th Oba of Benin is crowned.

Many dignitaries were present at the coronation ceremony. Some of them are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole, Edo state governor-elect, Godwin Obaseki, Aliko Dangote and APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun.
Monarchs, the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi and Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Dr. Shehu Idris were also present.
The Esama of Benin Kingdom, Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, was also in attendance.
The Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole, presented the new king with his staff of office after which the newly installed king gave his address.
Countries such as Great Britain, Namibia, Senegal, Italy, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Mauritania, Mali and Spain had their diplomats present at the historic event.
