British Council event kicks off tomorrow Tuesday, February 23rd

The event which is sponsored by British Council, as part of the larger UK Nigeria 2015-16 programme, will run through to February 28th.

It's set to be a gathering of arts and theatre enthusiasts as the Lagos Theatre Festival 2016 is set to kick off tomorrow Tuesday, February 23rd.

The event which is sponsored by British Council, as part of the larger UK Nigeria 2015-16 programme, will run through to February 28th.

Currently in its 3rd edition, the Lagos Theatre Festival is poised to be the biggest arts gathering the city has ever witnessed and  will feature over 100 performances from producers such as Bani Productions, Comic Republic, Creative Arts Collection UNILAG, Make it Happen Productions and more.

Others producers expected at the event are Thespian Family Theatre, Troopers Arts, Women in Arts as well as 4 international productions from the UK.

The event will hold across 20 venues including British Council, National Arts Theatre, Freedom Park, Terrakulture, Bogobiri, Muson Centre, UNILAG among others.

There will also special be workshops for actors, creative writing, directors and producers.

Lagos Theatre Festival 2016 is pegged to be an extravaganza of music, dance, spoken word, musical and performance theatre.
