This artist creates artworks that looks too real to be mere drawings

Like me, I'm sure a good number of people will confuse these drawings for the actual image. But it's not. Thanks to 3D artist, Nikola Čuljić, who keeps playing tricks with our vision. Check out some of his works.

Serbian artist, Nikola Čuljić, is known for his stunning 3D-effect popping art.

Discovering and carving out a niche for one's self is one important key to standing out amongst a body of other talented and creative minds and Čuljić has found a niche for himself.

Čuljić started drawing portraits but found it too hard, so he decided to try something different, and begun drawing 3D objects on paper ‘to confuse people’.

Using just coloured pencils, markers and pastels, Čuljić has a unique ability to make objects pop off the page.

While they may look like they were created with trick image editing software, these drawings are 100% real.

Čuljić who is a self-taught artist who has only been actively drawing for about four years says "I started drawing portraits and it was hard...so I decided to draw something different." He draws by merely experimenting with perspective and became an expert at turning a two-dimensional piece of paper into a 3D optical illusion.

While Čuljić has made a career out of being an artist, his 3D drawings are not for sale.

He says that his goal is to make his, "name a brand for 3D," so perhaps his pieces will be available for purchase in the future
