The eclectic singer ensured each look was more memorable than the last as he kept the crowd rapt with his energetic performance.
Rachel Hahn for Vogue writes:
Burna Boy has had a busy few days. The singer-songwriter opened a space-diner-theme pop-up store in Shoreditch, London, on Saturday, which his sister Ronami Ogulu curated—and where they sold boxes of his “Space Puffs” cereal, limited to just 50 units—and the day after, he played to a sold-out stadium at O2 Brixton Academy.
Burna pulled out some truly bold looks for the headlining show: He paired neon zebra-print pants with chunky, gold chain-accented sneakers backstage before changing into a deceptively sharp blazer, which he wore with slick leather pants. The garments were both printed all over with a faux caution tape that read “fragile” in a big red font, so it wasn’t your average suited-up look. Burna’s ensemble may pay homage to the packing tape used for breakables, but he certainly didn’t need any special protection onstage—he looks utterly secure in the photos that he’s shared. Take a look at the photo diary above to get a sense of his vibrant style, both onstage and off.
