Singer pays homage to African icons in style for #TheSavageTour

For one night only, the inimitable Tiwa Savage shut down London and she did so in style. Take a look at her stunning tour looks!

#TheSavageTour, organised by globally renowned Afrobeats promoter SMADE Entertainment, had been highly anticipated for months and surpassed expectations with the bill of artistes.

In addition to Tiwa Savage, who cemented her place in history as being the first female Afrobeats artiste to headline the O2 stadium, fans were thrilled and excited as Alternate Sound, the official band, brought to life the performances of Don Jazzy, Dr. Sid, Korede Bello, Awilo, WSTRN, and Mystro.

People present were especially moved by Tiwa Savage’s tributes to African Icons such as Mandela and the recently deceased Kofi Annan.

Tiwa Savage follows in the steps of stars such as Wizkid by having a sold-out London show. The artist, who has enjoyed a wildly successful 2018 so far, put the jewel in her crown with this sold-out concert at the O2.

Often touted as Nigeria's answer to Beyonce with her stunning vocals and ability to put on a show, like Queen B, Tiwa did not disappoint when it came to her tour style Tiwa wore 3 striking outfits for the special night.

The first was a yellow tulle dress that complimented her melanin-rich skin and moved beautifully as Tiwa danced up a storm.

The second was a sexy black and gold, skintight playsuit that showed off her toned figure to perfection.

After all the excitement, Tiwa met with friends and fellow artists backstage and tapped into the neon trend whilst doing so. The star wore a neon yellow mini dress and paired it with a quirky Louis Vuitton transparent coat.

Fresh from the excitement of Wizkid's New York pop-up, Irene Agbontaen makes it happen again this time with Tiwa Savage. The popstar's 'Savage' London pop-up makes its mark on the city as her merchandise sells out in record time.

Tiwa Savage took over London with her 'Savage' pop-up which held at Berwick street, Soho in the heart of the city. The event was put together by London-based stylist, Irene Agbotaen who was responsible for undefined

Irene Agbontaen is a fashion stylist and designer who created Taller Than Your Average (TTYA) London; an apparel brand offering accessible, modern, functional pieces that are specifically cut for women who are 5’9” or taller. Her label launched in Selfridges in 2013 and has gone on to be stocked Barneys, New York as well as being the first pioneering tall brand to debut on ASOS.com.

Featuring inscribed t-shirts, bandanas, jumpers, hoodies and phone accessories, Tiwa's merchandise looked strikingly similar to Kanye West's from his Ye launch with the bold neon colours and slogans.

Tiwa herself showed up looking casual in an orange sweatshirt and baggy denim jeans. Her best accessory however was her darling son  who came rocking a Savage bandana in support of his Mummy.

Now that the whole of London has got the merch, all that's left is to enjoy the unmissable Savage tour which promises to be an exciting event.
