The stars in the true-life movie chose the distinct looks shinning bright on the red carpet channelling their 'African-ness'.
Lupita Nyong'O wore a house of Herrera dress in yellow featuring embellished royal blue floral appliqué details topped with blue headwrap, soft glam makeup look,red lips and blue pumps on the red carpet looking every inch an 'African princess'.
David Oyelowo chose an african styled gold embroidered tunic over black pants paired with embellished velvet loafers on the red carpet looking every inch the sharp African guy!
Both stars stood out in their African inspired looks. 'Queen of Katwe' is a true-life story of 10-year-old Phiona Mutesi inspired by a mentor to improve her chess playing skills in order to gain a better life for herself and her family!
