Take a look at the stylish leading ladies of star-studded film

The new movie starring Seyi Shay, Sharon Ooja and Somkele Iyamah among others is as stylish as it is entertaining and here's why.

The star-studded premiere held on Sunday July 8th at Intercontinental Hotel.

The event was attended by the cast and crew including Seyi Shay, Vector, Somkele Idhalama, Chioma Akpotha, Biola Alabi, Lala Akindoju, Saidi Balogun, Folu Storms and Deyemi Okanlawon.

Directed by Tosin Coker, 'Lara and the Beat" is a coming of age movie about the young and beautiful Giwa sisters caught in the center of a financial scandal with their late parents’ .

According to Biola Alabi, the executive Producer of the film and MD of Biola Alabi Media, “Lara and the Beat" is a reinforcement of her promise and goal to continue to tell authentic African stories to local and global audiences.

"We have worked with the best talents in the industry and engaged key partnerships and collaborations that have helped to deliver this outstanding movie," she said.

Take a look at the women who make the movie special and what they wore on their big night!

1. Somkele Iyamah

There are perks to having a world-class designer as a sister and Somkele is definitely reaping the benefits. The actress showed off her mind-blowing figure in a mustard yellow silk Andrea Iyamah jumpsuit with keyhole detailing around the bust.

Now, on us mere mortals, the colour and cut would be ridiculously unforgiving but Somkele, whose fitness pursuits are well-documented on her Instagram, wears it perfectly.

We love the contrast of the colour against her skin and we love seeing a woman wearing her natural hair with pride!

2. Seyi Shay

Songstress Seyi Shay looks angelic in an all-white jumpsuit with a twist. Seyi, who plays the protagonist Lara, let her jumpsuit do all the talking and accessorised with a colourful signature necklace.

Sometimes, less is most definitely more.

3. Sharon Ooja

Last but certainly not least, newcomer Sharon Ooja knocked it out of the park in a stunning creation by her go-to designer Somo by Somo. The dress, which was half ankara maxi and half metallic mini was quite possibly the most standout look of the night.

Sharon, with her model-like proportions, looked every inch the star she is being groomed to become in the gown. She accessorised with a metallic bag from Polo Avenue and her raven locks cascaded down her back.

Finally, Sharon made sure she had her signature megawatt smile at the ready. If we looked like that, we would be smiling too!
