Emmy Kasbit does dense fit, tonal layering with 'Expedition' collection
Emmy Kasbit takes on tonal colours for his South Africa Menswear Week (SAMW) AW 17 presentation.
"EmmyKasbit drew inspiration from the lives of the sub Saharan nomads for the A/W17 collection titled 'EXPEDITION'. The collection explores the story of a man on a Journey to Liberation from life's setbacks and features a new sense of elegance to menswear with the use of wool, corduroy and jacquard prints, all put together to produce vintage/sporty silhouettes for the everyday nomadic man" the brand revealed in a note.
"I was interested in creating outfits for the everyday man so I stepped aside from bespoke pieces but maintained the brand aesthetics which is clean architectural cuts. For this collection, we partnered with shoe designer King David Shoes to produce high quality men's footwear"; the brand's creative director Emmanuel Okoro shares.
