This is the second time that ‘Ye has covered the annual “Icons” issue following 2016’s appearance with Kim Kardashian West. Kanye’s cover story also features a question about his hopes for his children, to which he replies, “I hope my children never lose their confidence to society.”
Rapper appears on the cover of Harper's Bazaar 'Icons' issue with North and Saint
North and Saint West make their magazine debut on the cover of Harper's Bazaar's 'Icons' issues with their father, rapper and designer, Kanye West.
The children theme continues onto the other cover stars, with the likes of Mariah Carey, Bruce Springstein and Erykah Badu all appearing with their children. All cover photos were shot by Mario Sorrenti.
Harper’s Bazaar's Global Fashion Director Carine Roitfeld explained the family theme to WWD: "I am especially excited about this year's theme for ICONS because it involves family. I'm a very family-oriented person so I wanted to meet the families of some of my biggest music idols. It was amazing to see that some of the industry's most ground breaking rockstars have a sense of tenderness with their loved ones, even if they are adults!"
