Best dressed celebrities, what they wore on the red carpet

A lot of celebrities made the best dressed list at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) held on Sunday 28th August at the Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The stars/top celebrities made bold style appearances in dazzling looks on the red carpet choosing pretty impressive looks that worked for the event; while some went all out, some stayed simple but not safe while some got quite creative and interesting.

Beyonce who had five outfit changes shut down the red carpet with Blue Ivy in tow in a feather detailed Francesco Scognamiglio, Kim Kardashian chose a vintage LBD by John Galliano (and wet hair look), Nicki Minaj glowed in a figure hugging floor length Bao Tranchi with bold cutouts and sheer panel details, Naomi Campbell chose short slit detailed piece from Brandon Maxwell.

Cassie was electrifying in Balmain double-breasted blazer left undone paired with gold high waist Gucci pants and fierce hair.

Britney Spears made a sultry comeback in a Julien MacDonald piece with asymmetric cutout and sheer insert. Diddy wore a silk kimono over black pants with layered gold neckpieces standing out, Amber Rose was all sorts of stunning a sexy all black Tom Ford double breasted suit with plunging neckline styled with a La Perla bra and reflective Dior shades.

Rita Ora chose an edgy feather and fur accented look featuring a jacket and sheer mix dress from Marc Jacobs. Alicia Keys chose a red and black print Just Cavalli dress going sans makeup with husband Swizz Beatz in a black and white look in tow.

Ariana Grande chose an Alexander Wang bardot ruffled lace bandeau over black pants,Jasmine Tookes sizzled in glittering sheer embellished mini dress while Joan Smalls donned a crisscross leather crop bustier and high waist pants from White’s Fall 2016 collection, Winnie Harlow chose a Jebran dress with Justine Skye in a fringe multicoloured Missoni look that was perfection.

Tinashe chose a fun red Juan Carlos Obando look, Ashley Graham chose an embellished Naeem Khan look. Jidenna looked simple but good in print tunic, tapered pants and loafers.
